Vangan Kindergarten has a vacancy for a 100% permanent position as Assistant Director. The position consists of 60% Pedagogical Leader duties and 40% administration.
Flatanger Municipality is located on the Trøndelag coast and has approximately 1,100 inhabitants. The main industries are aquaculture, small-scale industry, and tourism. The municipality is an absolute paradise for outdoor life and nature experiences, both at sea and in the mountains.
Vangan Kindergarten is a 4-department kindergarten with 54 children, beautifully situated in the center of Lauvsnes. The staff includes a 140% director resource, a 50% special education teacher, and reinforced basic staffing. The kindergarten participates in a joint "Play and Play Environment" project with DMMH and four other kindergartens in Namsos and Flatanger.
As Assistant Director, you will be responsible for:
Facilitating a positive, inclusive, and professional working environment.
Collaborating effectively with parents, the municipality, and other relevant partners.
Leading the kindergarten in accordance with legislation, the Framework Plan, and municipal guidelines.
Following up on assigned tasks within HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), finance, and attendance.
Keeping yourself professionally updated and providing guidance to staff.
The Assistant Director serves as the acting director when necessary.
As Pedagogical Leader, you will be responsible for:
Planning, implementing, and evaluating pedagogical work in your own department.
Developing and maintaining close and effective cooperation with parents.
Providing care and participating actively in play and activities with the children, both outdoors and indoors.
Leading the work regarding play and the play environment in your department.
Organizing the department's work to best serve the children, staff, and parents.
Qualifications:
Approved Kindergarten Teacher education.
Approved police certificate.
Commitment to the vocation and a strong professional foundation.
Solution-oriented and reflective regarding your own practice and leadership.
Effective oral and written communication skills in Norwegian.
Good digital competence.
Strong leadership qualities: structured, solution-oriented, and development-focused.
The ability to meet children, staff, and parents with generosity, recognition, and care.
Personal suitability for the position will be emphasized.
